WhatsApp has just released an incredible update featuring five brand new tools aimed at making life easier for us users. These enhancements are designed to simplify your messaging experience and maintain order, even when you’re managing several devices at once.
1. Keep your storage organized
Tired of WhatsApp consuming your phone’s storage like a hungry diner? Now, you can take control by locating and deleting large media files within a chat without having to erase the entire chat history. Simply tap the chat name and select ‘Manage storage’. Decide what to remove or go all out and clear everything.
2. Crossing the Android-iOS barrier
Transferring WhatsApp chats was straightforward until you needed to move between Android and iOS. But now, there’s a solution. You can easily share chats across the two platforms like passing around dishes at a family meal. From iPhone to Android? Go to Chats > Transfer chat history > Transfer to Android device. From Android to iOS? You’ll need the “Transfer to iOS” app from the Google Play Store.
3. Two accounts on your iPhone, at last!
iPhone users, you can finally manage two WhatsApp accounts. It’s about time, right? This feature was exclusive to Android previously, and now you can keep your work and personal chats distinct. Click on your profile picture and you’ll see the option to switch accounts, just like a drink at the pub.
4. Stick it to them with sticker recommendations
Emojis are getting a treat with WhatsApp now suggesting relevant stickers. Choose an emoji in the chat, and voilà! Relevant stickers appear as if by magic. Use them or ignore them, it’s entirely up to you.
5. Meta AI enhances your photos
Meta AI is showing off its capabilities, allowing you to edit photos directly within the chat. Spot something off in a photo? Fix it before you hit send. Perfect for those ‘what were they thinking?’ moments.
These exciting features are being released now, but it may take a few days for everyone to receive them. Keep an eye out for updates, install them swiftly, and take advantage of these enhancements.
In the meantime, parents can also manage their children’s WhatsApp accounts with ease.
