The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra might just tackle one of the main complaints we’ve had about foldable smartphones: dismal battery performance.
The past few weeks have been filled with leaks aplenty regarding Motorola’s forthcoming flip phone, the Razr 60 Ultra (or Razr Plus 2025 for those in the U.S.).
The latest leak is as credible as they come, sourced directly from TENAA, China’s telecommunications regulatory body. Any phone getting launched in China must undergo this certification first.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Battery Life Finally Taking Flight
The TENAA listing indicates that the Razr 60 Ultra will feature a dual-cell battery comprising 1,090mAh and 3,185mAh.
In total, that amounts to 4,275mAh, but insider Anvin believes the realistic typical capacity will be 4,500mAh.
Compared to last year’s Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, which only offered a modest 4,000mAh battery, this marks a substantial 12.5% improvement.
Add in an enhancement to 68W wired charging (previously 45W), and it seems the Razr 60 Ultra might actually be capable of lasting an entire day without needing a frantic charge.

Significance for Foldable Phones
We were enthusiastic about the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, naming it the top flip phone of 2024. Yet at the same time, we had to insert the usual caveat: “Remarkable battery life… for a flip.”
In other words? Foldables have been complete battery flops. Here’s hoping that 2025 brings a turning point.
Last month, there were rumors about the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 potentially housing a significant 5,100mAh battery, which would be quite a game-changer. Nonetheless, the Razr 60 Ultra is looking encouraging, and with all these leaks emerging, we’re eager to see how it performs.

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: All We Know So Far
Leaked information has already shed light on several key specifications for the Razr 60 Ultra, including:
- 6.96-inch primary OLED display
- 4-inch external OLED display
- Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
- Dual 50MP camera system
And because Motorola enjoys a stylish design, we know it will come in some eye-catching options, including a wooden finish, a Pantone Gibraltar Sea variant with a nylon texture, a Pantone Lightest Sky edition with an acetate finish, and a Spring Bud colorway. Very classy.
We also received official validation of the “Razr 60 Ultra” name from the UAE’s TDRA certification body.
Given that last year’s Razr 50 Ultra launched in late June, we may need to be patient before we see this model in person. Until then, you can be sure that the leaks will continue to flow.
Summary: A Flip Phone That Might Actually Last Beyond Lunchtime?
It seems Motorola is finally addressing one of the largest concerns with foldables—battery life. With a projected 4,500mAh battery and 68W fast charging, you could realistically enjoy a full day of use without rushing for a charger. If the remaining specifications stand true, and that Snapdragon 8 Elite isn’t excessively power-hungry, this might be the flip phone to beat.
