The Comeback of Sky One
Do you recall Sky One, the network from the 80s that showcased both British treasures and American classics? Well, it’s returning, blending beloved old favorites with new television delights.
A Nostalgic Throwback
Throughout its 39-year run, Sky One served as the base for British successes such as The Russell Howard Hour and An Idiot Abroad. It also satisfied our appetites for shows like The X-Files, The Simpsons, The Middle, and even Star Trek. However, in 2021, it was discontinued in a corporate restructuring, paving the way for Sky Showcase and Sky Max.
What’s Fresh on Sky One?
But the channel is set to return on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, broadcasting on channel 106. It will take over from Sky Showcase and Sky Max, being accessible to Sky Ultimate TV, Sky Signature, and Sky+ subscribers. Look forward to programs such as Rob & Romesh Vs…, The Paper and Ted, alongside newcomers like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.
