Who’s Targeted?

While everyone’s chatting about cyberattacks on water systems in the US, those aren’t ransomware. Actually, strikes on utility firms fell by 44 percent last month. Finance, Tech, and Academia – The New Favorites

In contrast, finance enterprises, tech companies, pharmaceutical businesses, and the education domain are inundated, with attack rates climbing 71 percent, 62 percent, 46 percent, and 44 percent, respectively. Not surprising, as DeepStrike indicated that manufacturing, education, healthcare, and financial firms are the most likely to pay a ransom.
