Reet pet, here we go again. Bong Joon-ho – the South Korean fella who had critics all a-flutter with Parasite – is back in action. This time, he’s traded in the class struggles in a fancy basement for wild sci-fi antics in space. His latest film, Mickey 17, draws inspiration from Edward Ashton’s novel and is as bonkers as a bag of frogs. If you enjoy your dystopian tales infused with dark humor and cloning chaos, you’re in for a treat. If not, move along.
Let’s dive into how and where you can catch this cosmic escapade, whether on the big screen or from the snug of your mum’s couch.

Currently, Mickey 17 is exclusively in theaters. So if you fancy watching Pattinson getting cloned and killed over and over, you’ll need to make your way to the cinema. Here’s where you can grab tickets:

Bonus Features
The Blu-ray and 4K release actually includes some worthwhile extras – for once.
- Behind the Lens: Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17 – probably showcasing Pattinson looking puzzled.
- Mickey 17: A World Reimagined – because cloning and terraforming are a piece of cake, right?
- The Faces of Niflheim – not a Scandinavian metal band, just some eerie colonists, I reckon.
When Could Mickey 17 Be Available to Stream?
Max – Warner’s streaming service that’s still a no-show in the UK for whatever reasons – will be the first to stream Mickey 17 in the US.
Typically, Warner Bros. releases their films on Max around two to three months after theatrical release, so we’re looking at May or June 2025 for its streaming launch in the US.
As for us Brits, we’ll likely see Mickey 17 available on Sky Cinema or NOW sometime late spring or early summer 2025. Just in time to avoid the sun and stay indoors like the mole people we are.

Summary: Clones, Carnage & Cosmic Craic
If you’ve ever contemplated what it would be like if Groundhog Day took place in space and starred a pale vampire lad from Twilight, this is pretty much it. With political commentary, dark humor, and a sprinkling of existential dread, Mickey 17 is pure sci-fi madness with a punch. Whether you catch it at the cinema with overpriced popcorn or wait for it to hit your screen, it’s worth a look if you’re into something a tad different from the usual Marvel drivel.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to clone a new reviewer so we can hit the pub and still keep things rolling. Cheers pet!
