Right, let’s have a natter about Jack Reacher, our top ex-military fella dishing out justice on Prime Video. After making a splash with Season 2, Reacher’s gearing up for a third round. No worries here – I’ve got all the scoop about the new season, from launch dates to plot developments. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Reacher Season 3: When’s the Big Day?
Circle it in your calendars, mates – Thursday, 20 February 2025. That’s when Jack’s back on Prime Video for a three-episode kick-off. Following that, you’ll receive a new episode each week. So no binge-watching this time. It’s a throwback to waiting for your chips to cook.
Sure enough, it’s no shock Amazon jumped on the bandwagon to renew it for a third season back in December 2023. The show’s brilliant. Alan Ritchson (aka Mr. “Built Like a Brick Shed”) has shared a teaser photo that’s got us pumped. It seems Jack’s primed to take on some wrong ‘uns again.
Plot Twists and Punch-Ups: What’s Reacher Season 3 About?
If you’re curious about Jack’s latest escapades, it’s all centered around Lee Child’s novel “Persuader” – the seventh in the series. Amazon likes to shuffle the book order, so don’t stress if you prefer them in sequence. Clearly, they’re doing their own thing.
This season kicks off with Jack getting involved (and throwing punches) in an attempted kidnapping. Cue the mayhem. He also runs into an old adversary, Francis Xavier Quinn, a seriously dodgy military guy who’s betrayed his own. Reacher thought he’d taken care of him years ago, but nope – turns out he’s very much kicking and still a right pain.
“In the third season of this action-packed series, Reacher dives into the dark center of a sprawling criminal operation while attempting to save an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. He encounters a world filled with secrecy and brutality – and faces some unfinished business from his own past.”
Looks like Jack’s in for a busy time. And by “busy time,” I mean he’ll likely have knocked out every blighter in Boston by the finale.
Is There a Trailer We Can Watch?
Yes, there is! The trailer’s out, and it’s fantastic. It showcases a new antagonist who looks like he might give Jack a decent challenge. Spoiler: He won’t. Jack’s likely to twist him into a noodle by Episode 6. Check it out below:
Who’s in the Cast for Season 3?
New season, new faces, but the same Jack Reacher. Naturally, Alan Ritchson is back, because who else can manage to look massive and intimidating while cracking cases, right? Maria Sten returns as Frances Neagley too – Reacher’s mate who’s as tough as they come.
Here’s the lineup of fresh talent:
- Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy – Jack’s new sidekick. Hope she’s braced for some mayhem.
- Olivier Richters as Paulie – a bodyguard. Probably toast by Episode 4.
- Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck – rug importer, may be a bit dodgy.
- Brian Tee as Quinn – the villain for this installment (or perhaps the whole season).
- Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck – Zachary’s lad. Let’s hope he’s not as shady as his father.
- Daniel David Stewart as Steven Elliot – DEA agent. Good luck, mate.
- Robert Montesinos as Guillermo Villanueva – another agent who’s likely fed up with Reacher’s escapades.
How to Watch Reacher Without Faff?
If you’re in the UK or US, you can catch Reacher on Prime Video. A subscription will cost you £5.99/month or $8.99/month, and there’s a 30-day free trial if you’re new.
Just a heads up: Ads are rolling out on Prime Video soon. In the US, they’ll kick in from 29 January 2024, and for us in the UK, from 5 February 2024. If you’d rather watch Reacher without ad breaks, you’ll have to shell out a bit more to avoid them. Amazon’s crafty like that.
