When’s Squid Game Season 3 Coming Out, Huh?
Right, here’s the deal – Squid Game’s wrapping up its saga in 2025, though Netflix hasn’t officially shared the specific date just yet. At least, not intentionally. There’s been a bit of a mishap over at Netflix Korea – they mistakenly posted a video hinting at 27 June 2025 as the big reveal. A bit of a spoiler, but that’s what we’re here for, innit?
Apparently, the genius behind all this chaos, Hwang Dong-hyuk, believes seasons 2 and 3 were always destined to be one extended narrative. Makes sense, right? They shot them back-to-back. So if you’re curious why Season 3 is right on the coattails of Season 2, there you have it. Netflix wants to keep us glued to our sofas.
If that leak turns out to be rubbish, keep your peepers on GadgetLad, ‘cause I’ll fill you in.

Who’s Returning for the Third Round?
Our guy Lee Jung-jae returns as Seong Gi-hun – the chap with worse luck than a Newcastle United supporter in the ‘90s. And here’s who else will join him in Season 3:
- Wi Ha-jun as undercover officer Hwang Jun-ho. Bet he’s wishing he stayed under the radar.
- Lee Byung-hun returns as The Front Man – the ominous figure in a mask with a mission to wreak havoc.
- Im Si-wan, portraying Lee Myung-gi, a little crypto hustler. Let’s hope someone gives him a slap.
- Jo Yu-ri as Kim Jun-hee, Myung-gi’s expectant ex. Drama alert, folks.
- Yang Dong-geun as Park Yong-sik – a gambler with a knack for poor choices.
- Kang Ae-shim as Jang Geum-ja – Yong-sik’s Mum. What she’s doing in this mess is anyone’s guess.
- Park Sung-hoon as Cho Hyun-ju, a former soldier. Sounds like she can hold her own, mind.
- Oh Dal-su as Sea Captain Park – a sailor likely wishing he’d stuck to fishing.
A couple of characters from Season 2 aren’t returning, though. Gong Yoo’s Recruiter went out with a bang during one of those “Russian roulette but Netflix-style” moments. Also, RIP Kim Pub-lae, AKA Mr. Kim, who got dispatched by the same Recruiter. Harsh.
Trailer Update: Is There One Yet?
Quick answer: nope. Longer answer: rewatch the Season 2 trailer, you impatient soul. Netflix is all about that suspense, right? Keep checking back on GadgetLad, where I’ll inform you the second they release something exciting.

What’s the Plot Gonna Be?
So, after inexplicably surviving the carnage of Season 2 AND walking away with 45.6 billion won, Gi-hun’s back. Why? He’s harbouring a grudge, obviously. But let’s face it – his last little uprising flopped faster than a night out in the Bigg Market. The bloke’s got some serious work ahead if he plans to take these nutters down.
Season 3’s teaser suggests new horrific games are on the way, including a creepy doll to keep that weird doll family growing. Like we needed more nightmares.
And don’t forget the post-credits scene at the end of Season 2. If you missed it, well… shame on you.
Season 4? Don’t Get Ahead of Yourself
Nah, folks, this is it. Season 3’s the final wrap. Netflix has decided to put a lid on the madness, so enjoy it. Or don’t. You do you.
An American Remake? Because Why Not
Apparently, Netflix thinks we need an American version. Directed by David Fincher, no less. He did *Gone Girl* and *Se7en*, so expect a good dose of darkness. Coming in 2025, but I’m calling it – it won’t outshine the original. Stick to the Korean version, mate.
How to Watch It
Simple as pie: hop onto Netflix. Plans start at wallet-friendly prices (unless you’re broke, then it feels hefty, right?). Splurge on the ad-free option if you’re feeling fancy. Or annoy someone for their login – I won’t spill the beans.

Summary: Squid Game Madness Continues – Prepare for More Blood, Tears, and Creepy Dolls
There you have it, mate. Squid Game’s back to spoil your cosy evenings once again. Season 3 is slated for 2025 (allegedly), Gi-hun’s carrying a chip on his shoulder, and there’s a creepy doll joining the fun. Something tells me it’s gonna be a proper laugh… if you’re a bit twisted.
