## UK’s Fusion Dream
Funds Down the Drain?
UPDATED The UK government has just tossed another £2.5 billion at a fusion energy initiative, yet we still haven’t witnessed anything beyond a flashy PowerPoint presentation.

## STEP Project: Cash Vacuum?
STEP drained £220 million in 2022, leaving us perplexed about what that money actually went to. The project has been guzzling taxpayer funds like a Geordie enjoying a pint.
Vows, Vows
We’re getting the same old line about “sustainable energy,” but where’s the substance? It’s like pledging fish ‘n’ chips but dishing out nothing but scraps.

## Who’s Getting the Cash?
It looks as though everyone and their grandma is snagging a piece of the pie, but there’s still nothing to show for it. If I were a betting person, I’d wager we’re in for more chatter than progress.
Alternative Energy Wish?
Don’t count on it, it’s more wishful thinking than tangible results. Maybe it’ll come to fruition by the time my Jack Russell retires.
## Summary: Is Fusion Just Empty Words?
It appears we’re pouring money into a fantasy. Let’s hope it doesn’t all just fade away like a dodgy night out in Geordie.
