VOD Release Date Guesswork
Disney has yet to disclose when The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be available on digital platforms. Historically, prior films in MCU’s Phase Five reached VOD between 60 and 67 days following their theatrical launch.
The box office performance apparently did not impact this timeline. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels were disappointments, yet they appeared on VOD after 60 and 67 days, respectively. In contrast, the highly successful Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was available digitally 63 days post-release, while the popular Deadpool and Wolverine took 67 days. Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts were both accessible for purchase and rental following 60 days.
If The Fantastic Four adheres to this pattern, it might release digitally in the UK and US between Tuesday, 23 September 2025 and 30 September 2025.
Keep in mind this is just a projection, and we await official confirmation from Disney.
DVD/Blu-ray Release Timeline
Physical copies of MCU films generally become available in stores three to four weeks after the digital release. Deadpool and Wolverine were launched on DVD and Blu-ray 21 days post their VOD release. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts became available 28 days after their digital launch.
Thus, if the assumed dates above are accurate, we anticipate that copies of The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in the US between Tuesday, 14 October 2025 and Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
In the United Kingdom, the new MCU film could be ready on DVD and Blu-ray a few days after its US debut.
Bear in mind these dates are merely estimates – we’ll refresh this article with any new details as soon as we acquire them.
Disney
Getting it Streaming
Being a Marvel production, The Fantastic Four will exclusively launch on Disney+.
Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 became available on Disney+ just a day following their physical releases. Captain America: Brave New World did so within 15 days. Deadpool and Wolverine, along with The Marvels, were accessible for streaming three weeks after the DVD and Blu-ray arrived.
Therefore, The Fantastic Four might arrive on Disney+ in both the US and UK between Wednesday, 15 October 2025 and Tuesday, 18 November 2025. A fitting opportunity to release the film on Disney+ could be Halloween (30 October 2025) or Thanksgiving Day (27 November 2025).
